Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has approved Community Secondary School, Ezimo-Uno, as the take-off centre for the Udenu campus of Enugu State Polytechnic, Iwollo, pending the completion of its permanent site. The lectures (for designated faculties) will begin immediately the institution resumes after the Covid-19 break.
The polytechnic’s Governing Council chairman, Hon Hillary Chinedu Onu, stated this Friday while addressing staff members of the institution at its permanent site, Iwollo. He said the move was part of Gov Ugwuanyi’s determination for immediate commencement of academic activities on the three campuses of the polytechnic, the other being in Enugu.
The rector of the polytechnic, Prof CJC Akubuilo, thanked Hon Onu for attracting copious support from TETfund and the government to the institution, and called for promotion of academic excellence by the workers.
Beneficiaries of TETfund grants in the institution, at the event, commended the Governing Council chairman for enabling them to study both locally and overseas. Reacting, Hon Onu advised other staffers to embark on innovative researches to qualify for such grants.
