After the Buhari-led administration gave the go ahead for state government to reopen schools in their own state when they deem it fit to do so, many states have gone ahead to do so.
On Friday, the commissioner of education in the state, Hajiya Fatu Sabo gave the go ahead for schools to reopen in the state. This is a week after the state Governor, A. Sule met with the important stakeholders in the state to discuss when it was safe to reopen.
among them were lecturers, teachers, school owners, parents and much more. After careful counseling, the commissioner said the governor has approved October 5th for the reopening of schools, including primary, secondary and tertiary schools.
They will work together for a safe model to reopen schools as teachers, lecturers and schools workers are given a week to prepare for the influx of students, back to schools.
So it is expected that state schools reopen but not federal universities as Asuu is still on strike.
