Ahead of the 2020/2021 admissions exercise, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has met with admission officials of tertiary institutions in Ekiti State.
According to a “jambulletin”, the interactive meeting was to remind them of the various resolutions reached during the Board’s virtual policy meeting with Heads of Institutions, as they kick-start the admission process.
The board, at the interactive session, urged the institutions to take advantage of the enormous benefits inherent in the automation of the admission process through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The JAMB Coordinator, Ekiti State Office, Mr. Abdulhakeem Abdulhakeem, reiterated that CAPS remains the only recognised platform for admissions and urged them to comply with its provisions as any admission done outside this platform would be null and void.
Abdulhakeem disclosed that the maiden interactive session was organised to shed more light on the perceived grey areas to foster a better understanding of the laid-down rules and regulations governing the conduct of admissions.
